Volunteer Roles include:

A seasonal commitment of 40 hours (i.e. 10 x 4 hr shifts) is expected, from program start until end of season; December 2, 2017 - April 2, 2018. Applications for our program are now being accepted, and detailed volunteer position descriptions can be accessed by clicking on each role listed above. Volunteer Ambassador Appreciation

Whistler Sliding Centre - Event Volunteers

Passionate about adrenaline fueled sports? Love being close to the action? Come Volunteer at the Whistler Sliding Center!

The Whistler Sliding Centre is regularly hosting sliding events, ranging from local/provincial races to international World Cup weekends, featuring the world's best athletes in bobsleigh, skeleton and luge. In 2019, the Whistler Sliding Centre will even host the Bobsleigh & Skeleton World Championships!

These events would not be possible without passionate volunteers. Be part of the action, join us today!

Volunteer positions include for example:

  • VIP Host – Greeting our VIP guests upon arrival and ensuring that they have the best experience possible. 
  • Spectator Hosts – Providing front line information and guidance for our valued spectators. 
  • Access Control – Responsible for checking accreditations at various points within the venue
  • Officials Assistant – Helping officials at the start docks and finish area
  • Doping Chaperon – Assisting with doping protocol.
  • Sliding Officials - Helping facilitate the races from the sports side of things (officials certification courses will be held in fall)
